Ease of use
Flodesk is easy to learn and use with gorgeous templates. If your business is in a high visual domain then the templates will be something you will really love. AWeber, also, as a great deal of ease of use to its platform with an easy interface.
Customer service and support
It’s hard to beat AWeber’s customer support. I think it’s their number one selling point. With AWeber, you get 24/7 customer support via chat and email. They’re based in Pennsylvania and have business hours for phone-based customer support.

Flodesk only offers an email to send your support questions to. As of this writing, users have said it can take up to 2 days to get a response. And since it costs more per month than AWeber that is a bit of a concern.
Migration services
If you want to move from one email platform to another, you want to make sure everything is done correctly. AWeber offers a free migration service and I’ve seen them help clients of mine move everything over in a matter of hours….including existing automations and landing pages! Once you sign up, you contact customer support, and you let them know that you need help migrating from your current provider to AWeber, and they do it for you. It’s fantastic!
Flodesk does not offer migration services. You’ll have to rebuild any automations as well as import your list yourself.
Features and benefits
Integrations
AWeber has a lot of direct integrations, which cuts down on errors and the need for a separate service like Zapier. But they do offer LOTS of integrations through Zapier as well.
Flodesk only offers integrations through Zapier.
Templates
AWeber has tons and tons of email templates, easy to use, drag and drop, beautiful templates for landing pages and newsletters. Templates can be designed based on your branding. You can also create custom HTML templates if that’s your thing.
With AWeber, you can build unlimited autoresponder campaigns. You can have different autoresponders linked to different signup forms and different landing pages. This feature will help you create more targeted email campaigns to send your ideal clients and customers.
Flodesk is a little more limited when it comes to the number of template options, but the templates they do have are gorgeous.
Teams
If you have a team of people or you have a virtual assistant, you may want to add them to your email marketing account without giving them access to everything.
With AWeber, you can add users to your account team at no extra cost. Multiple team member access allows your virtual assistant or team members to edit and create email marketing, email campaigns, email templates, sign-up forms, and landing pages. Anyone that you designate can edit and update projects in your AWeber account. You can also add someone as an Admin so that they have access to your accounting information as well.
Flodesk does not offer an option to add a team member or admin to your account at this time.
