Let’s talk about creating email subject lines for your email marketing that makes people want to open and read your email. I’m going to cover a couple of really quick tips and then I’m going to have some links for you down below to help you create amazing subject lines and have some email content ideas, so you can feel confident and start creating email subject lines and content that people are going to want to open.
Advice for creating amazing email subject lines
Seek inspiration
In order to get inspired and come up with some great email subject lines and email ideas, I want you to go create, if you haven’t already, a separate email account. Use Gmail or whatever works for you. That email account is going to be just for subscribing to email newsletters for inspiration.
Once your separate email account is created, search for companies’ websites, coaches, and other businesses that you think your target audience likes. For example, if you know that your target audience loves Walmart or Target go subscribe to their email newsletters with this fake secondary account. Once your separate email account is created, search for companies’ websites, coaches, and other businesses that you think your target audience likes.
If you see an email subject line that draws your attention and makes you want to click and open it, I want you to save that in a folder for inspiration. You can also copy and paste them and put them in Trello or Evernote or any tool that you currently use. Gather the subject lines that speak to you and you think will speak to your target audience. Use these to inspire you! What speaks to you is probably going to speak to your target audience.
Make it personal
When you’re building your subject lines, check if your email marketing platform gives you the ability to personalize the subject line. Many of them have that option.
Personally, I use AWeber and when I’m building an email broadcast, I have the option to personalize my email subject line. I can select things like the subscribers first name, the city they live in, etc. Personalize your subject lines to catch your reader’s eye and make it more likely that they will open and read your email.

Show some personality
My final tip is to show your personality. You should be showing your personality in your emails and on social media. Don’t be afraid to show your personality in your subject lines! You are who you are and your subscribers follow you because they like you, they want to shop with you, and they want to work with you. Show your personality in your subject lines and don’t be afraid!
